The Fortress, down but not over

Made by Hand KNOT by “Anonymous”

A huge thank you to Struts & Faucet Gallery and my co-exhibitors Jerry (Jer y) Ropson, and Christine Comeau for the wonderful opportunity to exhibit alongside you. I want to extend a special thank you also those who participated in my recent work in Sackville. I am thrilled with the conversations we had, as well as the written you’ve notes shared in the fortress. I will be writing about these letters as part of my thesis research this summer.

About the fortress it has gone into short-term storage but, I do hope to reinstall it again later in the summer – so please keep an eye out for it in August sometime!

Thank you all again.

Danielle

The following is an installation I created that is about doily patterns and relates to the wall drawing work I was doing just before leaving the Vancouver Island School of Art in 2013.
