On Monday afternoon the students in Mrs. Young’s class finished printing their fabric squares. Since then I have been preparing the squares into the quilted form we agreed on as a group. They voted to have a zig-zag pattern and their weren’t enough squared to do that -and it would have ruined their designs – so I went to the fabric store and found a printed pattern that I hope lives up to their concept!
We are going to work together to tack the quilted table-runner together on Friday afternoon. The kids will work in pairs with large, blunt needles and bright coloured yarn to finish the piece collaboratively.
They have been fantastic to work with!
